I have just arrived back home after the first Pikey Park Up weekend. The weekend was fun and action packed weekend of kitesurfing, bbq’s and parties for everyone who has been on one of my coaching holidays before and over 40 people came. We were based at a local campsite and kitesurfed at Rhosneigr outside of Funsport where the wind blew 20 knots on the Friday, 14 knots on the Saturday and 30 knots on the Sunday.

(The marquee where the bbq was roaring ready for the great british sausages between kite sessions.)
The various conditions gave everyone a chance to ride all there different kites or take out some of the latest Naish demo equipment on the market from Naish Parks, Torches and Bolts, the Naish Rascal Twin Tip and Money Shot and Custom global waveboard.

(John preparing the 8m Torch for his session. Deep concentration involved)
The aim of the event was to create a great vibe and for everyone to meet each other or reunite if they had been on the same holiday together and hopefully over time everyone will meet again at each others beaches – and may be the Pikey Park Up will head to one of their local beaches next year!

(A few drinkies at the campsite on the saturday night)
A special thanks goes out to everyone who came as people travelled from all over the UK including Glasgow, Weymouth, London, Cardiff, York, Birmingham, Norfolk and more. A big thanks goes to Phil and Alex from Hangtime kitesports who ran the Naish demo.

(Dave Handley throwing down some moves)
James Winstanley for epic bbq’ing and supplying great tunes and Jamie and Chris for the pyromaniac skills on the heater in the marquee. What an amazing weekend and hope by tomorrow there will be some productive days at work because Im sure there were some tired heads this morning!
More piccys to come… ![]()
