Excitingly I am pleased to be able to offer you the first of the wave coaching holidays to be held by Jo Wilson Coaching. It will run with Wave Coach Dom Moore alongside Jo Wilson. The trip is set up not only to help you improve your wave riding skills but help you to deal with wipeouts in swell. Its designed to build your awareness of what the ocean can bring and how to predict where you are likely to score a wave kitesurfing session no matter where you live in the UK.
The aim of the holiday is to coach you the skills you need to be competent on a waveboard and help you to feel comfortable in swell no matter how big or small, but for this trip much of what we do will be on the smaller kickers on the inside of the bay. The coaching will be set to help you achieve your own goals, but the kind of aspects we will help you work are are gaining confidence in your gybes, helping you to feel greater maneuverability on a waveboard, improve your balance and improve your timings with top and bottom turns. For those of you with more experience the aim will be to help you link your turns and ride down the line with greater power and finesse plus handle yourself in bigger waves.
Rhosneigr is a phenomenal place to offer these wave coaching holidays. Its horse shoe shape bay will leave you feeling safe and secure knowing that you will always come in to a nice sandy beach even if you end up a long way downwind. The wind blows predominantly from the south west which is cross shore from the left or if you prefer you can venture to the northern most corner where you even get wind from the right. The waves rolling in to the bay are generally quite big on the outside, but they’ve petered in to small kickers on the inside where we will be coaching which is perfect to give you something to ride on while concentrating on building up your skills. For those who are more experienced you are able to venture further out in the bay to find the bigger waves and Dom will be able to coach you the skills for riding on these.
We will stay in a stunning 5 bedroom holiday house just 1 minute away from the Rhosneigr beach, so we can enjoy a cosy house return to without ever having to locate your car keys. Be the first on a Jo Wilson Wave Coaching Holiday. Its one not to be missed.
