I’m super excited to introduce the brand new and exclusive holiday to Watamu in Kenya. 100km north of Mombasa Watamu offers you wetsuit free, white sand and crystal clear waters with 18-22knots of regular wind. Classed on a parr with Zanzibar for beauty, but with stronger wind we are psyched to introduce Watamu to Jo Wilson Coaching Holidays.

What Watamu promises is an incredible kitesurfing location for windy winter travellers. The beaches are protected by a reef around 500m out and there are multiple sandbars decorating the coastline. It is the ultimate flat water playground offering super safe kiting perfect for hooked in and unhooked freestyle.

Stripped back to basics Jo Wilson will be your lead coach and together you will create an african coaching journey to help your kitesurfing improve.

Accommodation wise we have a large, luxurious and unique private villa with maids and a private chef. You will have your own bedroom and multiple choices of living areas to relax. Keep cool in the shade of the spacious inside living area, catch a tan from beside the pool or enjoy the view from above on our roof top terrace.

In Watamu the wind blows all afternoon strong enough to ride your 9m - 12m kites. The beach lies a stones throw from our house. All you need to do is throw on your harness from beside our pool and dive right on in to the ocean for your kitesurfing session.

In the evenings you have the choice of venturing a few 100m’s in to town where there is a strong italian influence or you can stay comfortably in our villa where our chef will offer an exquisite african menu from the tastiest meat to the freshest of veg.

For the days where your body needs a rest from the water there are all manner of activities to choose from. Visit the turtle rescue centre, go on a real african safari, swim with dolphins, mountain bike in the forest or go shopping in the market at Malindi. Partners are more than welcome plus they can learn to kitesurf wetsuit free with the incredibly well qualified BKSA Kite School Tribe Watersports.

To arrive in to Watamu you will take a flight to Mombassa. With one change the journey is around 15 hours and prices range from £350 - £550. On arrival to Mombassa Jo will arrange your transfer and whisk you to the beautiful village which lies 2 hours away from the city itself. A deposit of £500 will secure your reservation while final payment will be due on 2nd January 2017.
